| AGH Outpatient Mental Health Program Receives Three Year Accreditation Award |
| | | |
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced that Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine office has earned accreditation for three years.
“We are very proud of this accomplishment” said Jane Elzerman, Office Manager. “CARF accreditation is a significant indicator of quality and best practices. This is a formal recognition of the exceptional outpatient psychiatric care that we provide to patients and families at Allegan General Hospital.”
This recognition is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. To receive a three-year accreditation, an organization must undergo a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrate to a surveyor(s) during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality.
Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine office is located at 551 Linn Street on the second floor of the Allegan-Bronson Professional Building, which is attached to the hospital. The clinical staff includes a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, and Licensed Professional Counselor. Psychiatric evaluations and on-going therapy services are available for adults, adolescents and children, ages 7 and above.
The office is presently accepting new patients. Appointment can be scheduled by calling (269) 686.4110. Office hours are from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
