Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been used for thousands of years. Acupuncture uses fine needles inserted into specific areas of the body. From an Eastern perspective, acupuncture restores and maintains health through harmonizing and channeling of the body's energy flow or "Qi" (pronounced "chee"). From a Western medicine aspect, acupuncture releases neurochemicals in the body to provide pain relief, to promote homeostasis, to heal tissue and to improve the body's systems through our self-healing ability.

Acupuncture can be used to treat numerous illnesses and conditions. The World Health Organization has identified the following as some conditions that respond favorably to acupuncture:

Emotional Conditions: Addicitions, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Stress

Gastrointestinal Disorders: Constipation, Diarrhea, Gastritis, Irritable Bowel

Muscular/Skeletal Conditions: Arthritis, Back Pain, Frozen Shoulder, Joint & Neck pain

Neurological Concerns: Headaches, Migranes, Stroke

Respiratory Concerns: Bronchitis, Allergies, Bronchial Asthma, Sinusitis

Woman's Health Concerns: Infertility, Menopause, Menstrual Cramps, Hot Flashes
