Program Design

Wellness for Life offers employers/employees a range of options to support lifestyle changes. It allows the person to choose the kind of help that suits their schedule and preferences. Service options may be used in conjunction with each other.

A. Guided Self-Help
Some individuals do not want formal help in making healthy changes. They prefer to do it on their own. We offer the initial wellness screening with score card, goal setting information and resource material to assist them in reaching their goal.

B. Individual Counseling
One of the most successful ways of helping individuals change and improve health status is to be counseled on a one-on-one basis. We offer assessment services in physical therapy, nutrition, mental health and complementary medicine.

C. Classes
Classes can be an effective means of providing education and social support for behavior change. We offer a number of classes at Allegan General Hospital or can bring specific presentations to your work site.
