Your surgeon will schedule the day and time of your surgery. A Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) appointment will also be scheduled. This appointment is usually conducted over the telephone. If you are required to have blood work, x-rays or an EKG prior to surgery, you will need to come into the hospital for your PAT appointment. Please have a list of allergies, medicines, previous surgeries and hospitalizations ready, regardless of the type of PAT appointment you may have scheduled.

Many orthopedic surgeries require a preoperative physical therapy appointment, which will be scheduled along with your PAT visit.
