Here are just some of the ways the AGH Foundation funding is used, as we “invest in the health of our community”:
Scholarship Funds for Allegan General Hospital Employees, and for area High School Students Pursuing Health Care Studies in Higher Education. Funds named for Schuyler Mellen and Marie Hall help to support the scholarship programs available through the AGH Foundation.
New Equipment for our Patients, as we increase our efficiency and capability to provide state-of-the-art care close to home. We recently purchased new exercise equipment for Cardiac Rehabilitation, and new diagnostic equipment to screen for circulation problems in the lower extremities.
Funding for New Program and Facility Development at Allegan General Hospital, growing our ability to care and serve, enhancing our technology, and constantly improving our care environments.
Funding to Worthwhile Community Health Care and Human Services Providers, such as the new Memory Care residence at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility, and Automatic Electronic Defibrillators (AED) for emergency responders in the community.
Investments in our new Spirit of Women program, and the growth of our outreach efforts, health screenings, and health care services for women and their families.
The new Allegan Neighbors Fund, to provide meaningful assistance for individuals and families without the adequate means to afford the necessary health care they need.
The new Touches of Home Fund, which will provide added quality of life amenities in our patient rooms and areas of the hospital, enhancing the patient experience and fostering interaction between patients and their loved ones.
Wellness Program for the individuals and families that we have the privilege of serving through smoking cessation programs, workplace initiatives, etc. A dedicated fund honoring Alice C. Webb helps to support these wellness programs. |
