Outpatient Mental Health Program Receives 3 Year Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine office has once again earned accreditation for three years. This latest accreditation is the third consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine Office

“We are very proud of this achievement and have worked continuously to maintain this status,” said Jeffrey Clearwater, MA, LLP, Office Manager and Psychologist for Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine office. “Attaining and maintaining CARF-accredited status requires a significant effort, strong teamwork, and a commitment at all levels of our organization. Receiving CARF accreditation provides us with the necessary tools for our ongoing success. We at Allegan General Hospital strive to provide quality patient care focused on the person served.”

This recognition is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows an organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

CARF’s mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

Allegan General Hospital’s Psychological Medicine office is located at 551 Linn Street on the second floor of the Allegan Professional Building, which is attached to the hospital.
