Close to 250 individuals participated in the 10th Annual Strides for Health 5K held at Allegan General Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Events included a 5K run and walk and one-mile kids’ fun run. Participants ranged in age from as young as one in the kids’ fun run, up to 76 in the 5K.

In honor of National CPR and AED Awareness Week (June 1-7), Allegan General Hospital (AGH) is partnering with the American Heart Association (AHA) to provide the community CPR Anytime Personal Learning program at no cost. During this free 45 minute course, individuals will learn the core skills of hands-only CPR and receive a free kit to take home with them, which includes an inflatable Mini Anne CPR manikin, DVD and a skills reminder card. The CPR Anytime kits were generously donated to the Hospital from an endowment through the American Heart Association.
